Terms of Service

Last updated: April 2026

These terms govern your use of SEN Letters UK (senlettersuk.co.uk). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

The service

SEN Letters UK provides an AI-powered tool to help parents and guardians generate professional, legally informed letters for navigating the UK SEND (Special Educational Needs and Disabilities) system. Letters are informed by UK legislation including the Children and Families Act 2014, the SEND Code of Practice 2015, and the Equality Act 2010.

Important: not legal advice

The letters generated by SEN Letters UK are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal advice. We are not solicitors, barristers, or legal professionals. The letters are designed to help you communicate effectively with schools and local authorities, but they are not a substitute for professional legal advice.

For complex cases, SEND Tribunal appeals, judicial review, or legal proceedings, you should consult a qualified SEN solicitor or IPSEA-trained advocate. We accept no liability for outcomes resulting from the use of generated letters.

Who can use SEN Letters UK

The service is available to anyone aged 18 or over who is resident in the United Kingdom. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are using the service on behalf of a child or young person with special educational needs for whom you have parental responsibility or legal authority to act.

Your account

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your account with others. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at apps@marvanova.com.

Acceptable use

You may use SEN Letters UK only for legitimate advocacy purposes on behalf of a child or young person with special educational needs. You must not use the service to generate letters containing false information, harass or threaten individuals, or for any unlawful purpose. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that misuse the service, without refund.

Free previews and credit packs

Free accounts can generate 1 letter preview at no cost. Previews show a partial version of the letter so you can see the quality before purchasing. Full letters that can be copied and sent require purchased credits. Credit packs are available as one-time purchases: 3 credits for £4.99 or 10 credits for £9.99. All prices include VAT where applicable. Each credit allows one full letter generation.

Credits and payment

Purchased credits are added to your account immediately after successful payment and can be used at any time. Credits never expire. Credits are non-transferable between accounts. Payments are processed securely by Stripe, we never see or store your card details.

Refunds and cancellation

Because credits are digital content that is delivered and available immediately upon purchase, you agree that credits are non-refundable once added to your account. This is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, which allow businesses to exclude the 14-day cooling-off period for digital content that is accessed immediately with the consumer's consent.

If you experience a technical problem that prevents a purchased credit from working (for example, a letter fails to generate due to a system error), contact us and we will either resolve the issue or provide a replacement credit.

Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law.

Account deletion

You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing apps@marvanova.com. Upon deletion, all personal data including your letter history will be permanently removed within 30 days. Any unused credits will be forfeited upon account deletion.

Intellectual property

The letters generated by SEN Letters UK are yours to use, edit, and send as you see fit. You own the content of your letters. The SEN Letters UK brand, website design, and underlying technology remain our intellectual property. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute the service or its components.

Service availability

We aim for high availability but cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may occasionally need to take the service offline for maintenance. We are not liable for any loss or inconvenience caused by downtime. Where possible, we will provide advance notice of planned maintenance.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SEN Letters UK's total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the service is limited to the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email. Continued use of the service after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
