EHCP Draft Review: check your draft plan before you reply

When the local authority sends you a draft EHC plan, you have 15 days to comment on it and ask for changes. EHCP Draft Review reads your draft plan, checks every need against the provision meant to meet it, and drafts the amendments for you to send back.

What it checks

  • Whether every need in Section B has provision in Section F to meet it.
  • Vague wording in Section F, such as "access to" or "as required", that does not say what your child will get, how often and from whom.
  • Provision that is missing or does not match the needs described.

What you get

A plain English summary of what looks weak or missing in the plan, and a ready-to-send letter setting out the amendments to request, which you can copy and edit before you send it.

How it works

  1. Create a free account.
  2. Upload your draft plan as a PDF (under 4MB) and add any notes about your child.
  3. Read the review and copy the amendments letter.

What it costs

A review uses 2 credits. Credits come in packs of 3 for £4.99 or 10 for £9.99, and they never expire.

EHCP Draft Review helps you prepare your response. It is not legal advice, and you can always ask your local SENDIASS service for free, impartial support.
